Adding TRTA's Legislative Update Feed to your Site

We have set up a feed of the TRTA Legislative Updates, which are Inside Lines that are posted to the TRTA.org website. You can subscribe to this feed if you want to, but most people subscribe to the Inside Line instead.

You can also place these Legislative Updates on your Local Unit website with a few simple steps:

  1. Copy this URL:  https://trta.org/?feed=rss
  2. Log into Mura's Admin; hover over Modules, click on Content Collections. If you do not see Content Collections, email me and I will add that node for you.
  3. Click on the Add Remote Feed button
  4. Name it the TRTA Legislative Updates
  5. Paste in the URL you copied above, https://trta.org/?feed=rss
  6. Select Yes to it is a  public feed
  7. Click Import Location and choose Yes to Auto Import
  8. Click the Add button.

You now have a Remote Feed that you can add to any page on your site. Here is how:

  1. From Site Manager, add a page (or choose an existing page if you'd like)
  2. Name it "20 Most Recent Inside Lines"
  3. Click on the Layout & Objects tab.
  4. Choose One_Column.cfm from the Layout Template drop down, but any layout template will do.
  5. Choose the Start New Cascade radio button
  6. From the Select Object Type drop down box under Content Objects, Choose Remote Content Feeds.
  7. Select 20 Most Recent Inside Lines, and arrow it into the Main Content Content Objects box.
  8. In the Configure Remote Feed that pops up, leave everything as is, and choose Save.
  9. Then choose Publish.

Here's a five minute video showing you these steps.
